Last year, I found a house I absolutely loved but hesitated to buy because I needed to sell my current home first and was afraid I couldn’t make it work financially.
I felt deeply drawn to that house. I could easily picture myself living there and felt peaceful, relaxed, and completely at home. It had everything I’d wanted for years, an open floor plan, high ceilings, a pool, and a lake view. I’ve always felt a strong connection to water.
Today, I would buy it without hesitation, but unfortunately, it has been sold.
I still feel a deep longing for that home. I’ve seen other houses with similar features, but none have created the same sense of peace and certainty. What do you think this strong attraction means, and what would you advise me to do moving forward?

What you’re describing sounds less like a longing for a particular house and more like a longing for the life and feelings that house represented.
Spirit often communicates through emotion. That house may have given you a glimpse of a future version of yourself, peaceful, relaxed, abundant, connected to nature, and truly at home. The lake, water, openness, and beauty weren’t just features; they reflected qualities your soul desires.
I don’t believe you missed your only opportunity. Rather, that house clarified what truly matters to you. It showed you what alignment feels like.
Recently, I had lunch with a high school friend I hadn’t seen in years. He told me that 35 years ago, he toured a house while it was being built and thought, “I’d love to live in this house someday.” It was far beyond his budget at the time. Ten years later, he bought that exact house, raised his family there, and still lives in it today.
My advice is to thank the house for being a messenger, then stay open. Like my friend, you may one day live in that very house or one even better suited to you. The feeling it awakened is still available, and Spirit has countless ways of bringing it into your life.
Follow the feeling, not the address. That’s where your guidance lies.

Thanks Julie. When we understand the feelings of what we are resonating with we can stay open to flow. Everyday I’m learning how everything is already worked out for me, from beginning to end, for my good and the good of all. The key is for me to stay aligned with those joyful, peaceful feelings and stay in flow. I continually remind myself that all is well and love never fails. Trusting that what is meant to be for me will be. It’s all about the journey.
