Joanne from Altoona, PA, asked:
Dear Julie,
I really enjoy your weekly questions.
My mother committed suicide. Did the angels and loved ones surround her, as you describe happens during a natural death? Was her transition different because of how she passed? Did she have any regret about leaving this way?
It has taken me a long time to come to terms with her passing, but as I’ve learned more about spiritual paths and perspectives, I feel I’ve found a deeper understanding and greater acceptance.
Love,
Joanne
Hi Joanne,
Thanks for your question. Surprisingly, it’s one I’m asked frequently.
In my experience working with thousands of people and their families at the end of life, we’re all surrounded by angels and the spirits of deceased loved ones and pets, regardless of how we choose to die.
As I discuss in my book Angelic Attendants: What Really Happens As We Transition From This Life Into The Next, we choose how, where, when, and even who’s with us when we pass. Even in tragic situations like your mother’s, the transition itself is truly a glorious sight. And yes, everyone goes to Heaven.
Over the years, I’ve thought a lot about this. If we choose the parameters surrounding our deaths, could every passing, in some way, be considered a form of suicide? Personally, I believe that may be true.
When I telepathically connected with your mother and asked whether she had any regrets, her response was emphatically, “No.” She conveyed that her passing was quick, easy, and painless. Interestingly, that’s the same response I consistently receive from spirits in Heaven who died by suicide. While the experience can be heartbreaking and devastating for the family and loved ones left behind, the spirit of the person who was ready to return to Heaven often describes it from a place of peace and relief.
Here’s a link to a free digital and audiobook version of Angelic Attendants. Please share it with your family and friends.
I hope my book and response comfort you.
Hugs,
Julie
