Past Life Mystery

Amy from Lakeland, FL, asked:

Hello Julie,

I love your podcast! Thank you so much for all the wisdom you share. I really enjoy how your show brings much needed comfort to so many.

I wanted to ask you about a past life. I had a reading done a year ago by a psychic who saw that I had a past life as woman possibly living in the 15th century. This psychic said I was persecuted because I married a man I wasn’t allowed to marry.

Well, I have been going to school for hypnotherapy. One skill we learned is a breath work technique meant to clear out any blockages. You never know where breath work might lead. Usually people will go back to a trauma from childhood.

When it was my turn as a student to try breath work, I went back to a past life and I believe it was the one I had the reading on! I saw my husband and myself being corralled by the towns people. It seems I was too outspoken in this village and we were both hanged. It was quite an experience in hypnosis.

Do you see anything pertaining to this life or a past life in which I was persecuted? Can you see the century or give me any more information about that lifetime?

I feel it has been quite healing to learn some of this and has helped clear some blocks in my current lifetime.

Thank you so much Julie.

Amy

Hi Amy,

What an interesting and fun question you’ve asked. My answer may sound like a Downton Abbey tale from the Middle Ages. Here’s what I “got” when energetically connecting to your past life in question.

Your name was Lady Arabella and you lived in an area near the current-day city of Arlon in Belgium. You were an aristocrat, the daughter of a wealthy family of landowners and merchants. The year was 1497 which would’ve been at the end of the 15th century.

At that time, the area in what is now southeast Belgium, was ruled by the Duchy of Luxembourg and as you correctly guessed, marriages of different classes were highly frowned upon and basically forbidden. Aristocrats not only had to get permission to marry from their powerful families, they had to obtain permission from their Lord (in your case, the Duke of Luxembourg). Needless to say, the Lords almost always sided with the paternal head of the bride or groom’s family. It’s interesting to note that even today, Queen Elizabeth and other monarchs and nobility must approve marriages of their relatives.

In this past life, you fell in love with a liveryman, a man who worked in your family’s stable and tended to the estate’s horses. His name was Martin. And just to complicate matters, you were betrothed to the son of a wealthy family in what is modern-day Brussels. His family, like yours, owned a vast amount of land used for farming. Your marriage was to be the combining of two powerful families and would’ve resulted in increased riches for all concerned.

Being the determined woman you were, you defied the rules, married Martin and made plans to live your lives elsewhere.

Where it got tragic was when you and Martin tried to leave your family’s estate. You both stole horses, money, and supplies, and for that, you were hanged. During the Middle Ages, stealing was a crime punishable by death.

In the end, I suppose you could say you lost your life because you followed your heart and married a fellow from a different class. Now that’s what I call true love!

Hope this answers some questions for you.

  1. I’m so grateful for Julie and for Dr. Northrup who mentioned her which is why I called for an appt. it’s been a week since we talked and I’m seeing my symptoms vanish with an extremely strict diet and reading on Yeast and Candida which is like looking in the mirror that was fogged up and is now wiped clean. I get it!! Julie also explained the huge golden ball of light in my wedding picture and even though I haven’t ever conceived I feel an elevated level of peace and understanding, more than I had, regardless of what is meant to occur. If you’re struggling with unexplained symptoms read The Missing Diagnosis! I can’t put it down. It’s all coming clear to me. Many blessings, Julie. I realize this is somewhat unrelated to this particular blog but I just wanted to express for anyone to read in public comments.
