Adriana from Mexico City, Mexico, asked:
Hello Julie,
I am a therapist, and I approach my work with my heart. I am naturally sensitive, but sometimes during sessions, I see spirits in the room, often with details like their clothing, hairstyles, etc. I feel that these spirits are present for my clients, delivering messages such as greetings, reassurance, or telling me they’ve encountered another friendly spirit.
This started happening suddenly, and at first, I didn’t know what to do with the information I was receiving. So, I began sharing it with each client. However, it wasn’t always well received. Some were frightened and didn’t return, my bosses reprimanded me, and some colleagues told me that I shouldn’t be sharing these messages, calling it selfish and irresponsible. Yet, I feel that I must transmit these messages, as they come to me as a bridge for my clients.
Julie, what is the best approach here?
Thanks,
Adriana
Hi Adriana,
Thank you for reaching out and sharing your experience.
Your sensitivity and openness as a therapist are truly a gift. It’s clear you have a deep connection to spirit, and you’re being called to serve as a bridge for your clients. Navigating the balance between intuition and professional boundaries can be challenging but honoring both is key.
Some clients may welcome spiritual insights, while others may find them overwhelming. Gently asking if they’re open to receiving messages allows them to express their comfort level, ensuring your guidance is supportive rather than unsettling.
Trust your intuition to deliver messages in a way that feels natural and comforting. Your presence alone can be healing, and when shared with care, your gifts can deeply support those you serve.
If you’d like to enhance your intuitive skills, please consider enrolling in one of my classes.
Hugs,
Julie
