Souls or Spirits

Chris from Denver, NC, asked:

Hi Julie,

How are spirits and souls different?

If souls are escorted to heaven after death, how do spirits remain around us? And, is it possible for souls or spirits to become “stuck,” lingering in haunted places or buildings?

Thank you for addressing this issue.

Chris

Hi Chris,

Thanks for your question.

Spirits and souls are the same thing, pure love energy. I tend to use the word spirit more often, simply because soul carries a religious connotation for me, likely from my twelve years of Catholic school.

We are eternal spirits temporarily attached to a body, having a human experience. When the body dies, the spirit separates and returns to what’s often called the non-physical realm. I call it Heaven.

Spirits can still be around us because we are all fractals of the Divine, made in the image and likeness of God in spirit form. If God is everywhere at once, and we are expressions of that same energy, then we can be as well.

In my experience, all spirits go to Heaven. From there, some choose to explore a dual existence, remaining in the non-physical while interacting with the physical world. Those are what I call ghosts.

No spirit ever gets lost or stuck.

I hope this helps clarify things for you.
