Join us for a compelling conversation with Dr. Maria Amasanti, a London-based practitioner who has brilliantly combined Western, functional, ecological, and holistic medicine in her practice. Dr. Amasanti shares her unique approach of listening and reframing perspectives to create a supportive network for her patients, setting her apart from many practitioners. We also discuss the role of gut instincts in diagnosis, with a riveting example where Dr Amasanti relied on her intuition to save a patient’s life. In the latter part of our discussion, we delve into the significance of end-of-life care and the necessity of having a “good death.” Dr. Amasanti shares a moving story illustrating the power of compassion and understanding when dealing with death. Our exploration continues with the role of the body, mind, and spirit in the healing process, with insights from integrative oncologist Kelly A. Turner’s book, “Radical Remission: Surviving Cancer Against All Odds.” The conversation wraps up with an exploration of the impact of stress on our health, the consequences of over-the-counter medications on bone density, and the importance of navigating the healthcare system. We also tackle the rising popularity of weight loss shots, the potential dangers of quick fixes, and the benefits of returning to nature. Tune in to gain insights from Dr. Amasanti’s wealth of knowledge, and learn about the holistic approach to health, the power of language in healthcare, and the role of gratitude.
