Healthier Hair Healing

Kendal from Minneapolis, MN, asked:

Hi Julie,

I’m 35 and a mother of three. Despite it being 2.5 years since my last child, I’ve been struggling with thinning hair.

My bloodwork is normal, I follow a balanced diet, I take vitamins daily, and my hair still isn’t as healthy as I’d like. This has impacted my self-confidence, and I’m hoping you might have some insight or guidance on what could be causing this condition.

Thank you so much for your help.

Kendal

Hi Kendal,

Thank you for sharing your concerns—you’re not alone. Many women experience thinning hair after childbirth, even years later. It’s often connected to lingering hormonal shifts, energetic imbalances, and your body’s need for deeper rest.

When I energetically connected with you, I sensed low estrogen and progesterone levels, so I added an energetic version of both. I “saw” (in my mind’s eye), your hair becoming thicker and your fatigue easing. I also noticed your thyroid appeared sluggish, so I provided energetic healing to support it.

In my experience, many new moms benefit from bioidentical hormones (BHRT) to jump-start and stabilize hormone production. I recommend consulting a physician who specializes in BHRT. A great way to find one is by contacting local compounding pharmacies and asking which doctors prescribe BHRT. Working with an OB/GYN would be ideal since they specialize in women’s health.

In the meantime, consider adding more protein and collagen to your diet. I personally love Paleo Valley’s chocolate protein powder—mixing it with hot water makes a delicious, nutritious, cocoa treat.

I hope this information helps.

Hugs,

Julie
