Guided by the Cat

Regina from The Woodands, TX, asked:

Hi Julie!

I hope you’re doing well and enjoying the holiday season!

I have a question for you about a cat who showed up at my parents’ ranch a couple of years ago. She’s incredibly sweet, and although we never let her inside for her own safety (my parents have three large dogs), she’s always given the impression that she enjoys being around people. My parents feed her every morning, and we named her “Gatusa.”

My parents are now in their early 90s and have decided it’s time to sell the ranch and downsize. They’ll be taking the dogs with them, and we would love to take Gatusa too, if that’s what she wants. We’re just not sure. She’s lived outdoors her whole life, even though she spends a lot of time near the house.

Could you please ask Gatusa what she would prefer? If she comes with us, she’ll live indoors with our two little kids (ages 6 and 1). Or she could stay at the ranch and continue her life as an outdoor cat.

Thank you, and lots of love!

Regina

Hi Regina,

Thanks for your question. What a heartfelt dilemma for your family.

When I connected telepathically with your parents’ cat, Gatusa, she conveyed that she would prefer to stay at the ranch. Her energy feels rooted there. She knows the land, the rhythms, and the freedom. And because she’s feral and hasn’t ever lived indoors, I’m not “getting” that transitioning to an indoor home with young children would be comfortable for her, or ultimately peaceful for your family.

Perhaps you could ask the future owners of the ranch if you and your family could visit her from time to time. That way, she can remain in the environment she understands while still feeling your love.

Hugs and Happy Holidays,

Julie

  1. Before I got the chance to “ask” Gatusa, I recieved a message that she is the Guardian of the land and would not be going. Gatusa slowly blinked her eyes and communicated that it’s her
    “job”, to stay.
