Julie Ryan

Grasshoppers from Heaven

Mary from Schaumburg, IL, asked:

Dear Julie,

I just finished your beautiful book Angelic Attendants and felt so grateful I read it.

My mom passed when I was only four and a half, and I’ve always wondered what she experienced in that sacred moment. Did she know she was leaving? Does she still miss my sister and me? Could she send a sign to let me know she’s aware I think of her every day?

Thank you for considering my request—I know you receive so many.

With appreciation and hope,

Mary

Hi Mary,

Thanks for your note and kind comments.

Your mom absolutely knew she was leaving and was surrounded by angels and loved ones from Heaven as she transitioned. She felt peace, joy, and unconditional love and she still sees and hears you. She’s never missed a moment of your life.

Your mother wants you to know she’s often with you, especially when you think of her. Every spirit keeps a unique energetic frequency throughout all their lifetimes, so simply thinking of her connects you instantly. Ask her to send you a clear sign, and she will, perhaps through a song, a scent, a feather, or a flicker of light. You’ll recognize the sign is from her when it’s the very first thought that enters your mind.

When I asked what sign she’d choose for you, she showed me a grasshopper. Grasshoppers only move forward, never backward, symbolizing progress, transformation, and divine timing. Seeing one reminds you to trust your inspiration, release fear, and have faith that the universe will catch you mid-leap.

Be open to how grasshoppers may appear. It could be a real one in the yard, an image in a magazine, on TV, or even in a dream.

Love never ends. Your mama’s simply in a different form, still loving you.

Hugs,

Julie
