Past Life Influence on Health

Sue from North Richland Hills, TX, asked:

Hi Julie,

I’ve struggled with migraines for most of my life, and they’ve recently escalated into debilitating vestibular migraines with daily dizziness. I’m seeing a neurologist and taking medication, but it’s not without its challenges.

Could a past life issue be influencing this?

Thanks!

Sue

Hi Sue,

I’m so sorry to hear about your struggles with migraines and dizziness. It’s great that you’ve found a specialist and are exploring medical options.

Considering past life influences often provides valuable insight since there’s always an emotional component with every medical condition.

In your case, you were a Tibetan monk in 1537 living at the Zhalu Monastery in Tsang. In my mind’s eye I “saw” you in an incense-filled, damp, moldy room.

This suggests you may be sensitive to scents and possibly exposed to mold in your current environment. Often, past lives have a semblance of a script playing out in our current life.

In the meantime, here’s an interview with Neil Nathan, MD, a physician who specializes in healing from mold exposure. You may find some helpful information there.

Hope you feel better soon!

Transforming Grief Into Peace

Willena from Bay of Plenty, New Zealand, asked:

Hi Julie,

My mother passed away nearly two years ago and I feel overwhelming guilt because she suffered greatly during her three-day death at home.

Despite our efforts and intermittent help from Hospice, I’m still haunted by her pain. I want to know if her suffering was as severe as I remember.

Can you offer any guidance? The grief feels unending.

Thanks,

Willena

Hi Willena,

I’m so sorry for your loss and the pain you’re experiencing. It’s completely natural to feel overwhelmed with guilt and sadness after witnessing your mother’s suffering. During times like these, finding solace in connecting with her spirit through meditation or prayer can be profoundly healing.

Lenore Matthew, PhD’s research highlights how intuitive abilities and connections to departed loved ones positively impact healing and well-being. We delved into this topic during her guest appearance on my show.

Spirits often communicate in subtle ways—through thoughts that come to us when we think of them, signs in the form of animals or symbols, or through mediums like me. These interactions can bring comfort and reassurance.

Your mother’s spirit has chosen her own path, including the circumstances of her departure. There’s nothing you or anyone could have done to alter that. She wants you to know that she is now happy, whole, and always with you.

Grieving takes time, and seeking support from loved ones or a counselor can provide additional comfort and guidance on your healing journey. If you’re interested in learning more about communicating with your mom, consider exploring my Angels and Enlightenment Training.

In the meantime, here’s a link to download a free digital and audiobook copy of my book, Angelic Attendants: What Really Happens As We Transition From This Life Into The Next. I believe it will offer insight and comfort during this challenging time.

Past Life Career Fears

Nicole from Madrid, Spain, asked:

Hi Julie,

I would love to know what past life experience might be involved in the extremely strong resistance I’m having regarding launching a new chapter in my solo career as a transpersonal coach and teacher at the ripe age of 60.

It’s a unique program on learning to love oneself, for real, that I’m thrilled about, yet I’m having great difficulty giving birth to it.

Could my hesitation be connected to one of my past lives?

Thanks,

Nicole

Hi Nicole,

Thank you for your question. The resistance you’re experiencing might indeed be connected to a past life.

While doing a past life scan, I discovered you were a fur trader named John Wilkinson in what is now Wisconsin, USA. In 1737, your brother and partner, Matthew, left fur trading to focus on farming, leaving you to face the harsh winters, rough terrain, and challenging trade alone. This daunting experience in that life is most likely surfacing now as you embark on your solo career.

Understanding that this fear stems from a past life can help you release it and move forward with confidence in this life.

Interestingly, historical records corroborate these details. The Encyclopedia of Milwaukee notes that by the mid-1700s, fur trading was integral to White-Native American interactions in the region.

Hope this helps.

Parenting Through Identity Challenges

Heather from Los Angeles, CA, asked:

Hi Julie,

I discovered texts on my 14-year-old’s phone where his friend asked if his parents knew he was gay, and he replied ‘obviously not.’ Knowing I have access, I felt guided to talk to him lovingly about it to prevent any suffering. However, he responded with ‘I don’t know’ and asked me not to tell Dad. I feel weighed down by this.

Any guidance you can offer would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Heather

Hi Heather,

It sounds like you’re navigating a sensitive and heartfelt situation with great care and concern for your son. It’s understandable to feel weighed down by his response and the complexities involved. Here are some thoughts:

  1. Create a Safe Space: Continue to reassure your son that you love and support him unconditionally. Let him know that your primary concern is his well-being and happiness.
  2. Respect Boundaries: While it’s natural to want to discuss this with your spouse, honor your son’s request for privacy unless there’s an immediate concern for his safety or well-being.
  3. Seek Support: Consider reaching out to support groups and licensed therapists/counselors specializing in LGBTQ+ issues for guidance on how best to support your son during this time.
  4. Spiritual Guidance: Trust your intuition and spiritual beliefs to guide you in providing love, acceptance, and understanding to your son.

Remember, this is a journey that requires patience and empathy. Your openness and willingness to support your son emotionally will be invaluable as he navigates his identity and relationships.

The Spiritual Side of Helping

Damon from Los Angeles, CA, asked:

Hi Julie,

As someone newly spiritual after having a month of totally unexplainable paranormal experiences two-years ago and listening to many 100’s of NDE stories, I have a lot of questions for you.

My main question is, aren’t we interfering with someone’s journey by helping them? Perhaps we’re keeping them from learning or experiencing something.

What are your thoughts on this?

Thanks,

Damon

Hi Damon,

Your question is profound. Helping others might seem like interference, but spiritually, it’s part of a greater plan. Our interconnectedness means our actions contribute to the universe’s design.

NDE stories often highlight love and oneness. Helping with a pure heart enhances the divine tapestry of life, fostering growth for everyone.

When working with clients and callers into my show, Spirit, through pure love, works through me and with me to provide the healing best suited for that person.

It’s been my experience that when we trust in the synchronicity of life, we’re led to the people and situations that will benefit us the most and have the opportunity to experience how, in the end, love guides us all.

Hope that answers your question.

Navigating Grief and Guilt

Martha from Boston, MA, asked:

Dear Julie,

I am a mother of two children who survived the mass shooting at the school in Nashville, TN, on March 27th, 2023.

I feel I had warnings and carry guilt, believing I should have been able to prevent this.

Do you have insight into those possible signs and what I was meant to do with them?

Thank you,

Martha

Hi Martha,

I’m deeply sorry for what you and your family have been through. The feelings of guilt and the belief that you could have done something are heavy burdens to bear. It’s important to understand that the universe often sends us signs not to prevent tragedies, but to prepare us and to strengthen our resolve.

Trust that your intuition guided you to protect your children in the best way you could. Now, allow yourself to grieve and heal, knowing that your love and presence are the greatest gifts you can offer.

Sending a big hug your way!

Julie

Death in a Dream

Melissa from New Port Richey, FL, asked:

Hello Julie,

I had a dream a few nights ago that my estranged father (who is very elderly now), tucked me into bed. I was wondering if he passed and it was his way of saying goodbye.

He lives in Puerto Rico and it’s been years since I’ve spoken to him. Are you able to tell if he has passed on?

Thank you.

Melissa

Hi Melissa,

Thank you for sharing such a heartfelt and compelling dream. Dreams, especially those involving loved ones, can be deeply spiritual and meaningful. Dreams like the one you described often serve as a way for our subconscious to process emotions and unresolved feelings. In addition, it’s common for a loved one’s spirit to visit us as they are transitioning from their human life to Heaven.

At this moment, when asking Spirit for guidance for you, I “get” he is still alive and in Phase 11 of the Twelve Phases of Transition®. This means he is surrounded by angels and the spirits of deceased loved ones and pets. It also means he is very close to passing. My book Angelic Attendants: What Really Happens As We Transition From This Life Into The Next can inform and comfort you. Please go to julieryangift.com for a free copy.

This dream might also be an opportunity for you to reflect on your relationship and consider if there is anything you wish to express to him, even if it’s just within your own heart. Writing a letter to your dad and then burning it will energetically release your emotions and wishes to his spirit.

I hope my response helps in some small way.

Finding Your Life’s Purpose

Nokulunga from Durban, Mandeni, South Africa, asked:

Hi Julie,

I’m fascinated by your podcasts and your work!

Could you please help me find my life’s purpose? I feel like I’m not living up to my potential and that I’m missing my true calling.

I have dreams I can’t decipher, like hearing the word “intalong” in my sleep. It feels significant, but I’m unsure how it connects to my purpose.

Thank you for your guidance.

Nokulunga

Hi Nokulunga,

Thank you for your kind comments.

It’s wonderful to hear that you’re eager to discover your life’s mission. Your dreams and intuition are powerful tools that can guide you on this journey.

I suggest starting by exploring your dreams and paying attention to any recurring themes or symbols. Sometimes, our subconscious communicates important messages through dreams.

Additionally, take some time for introspection and meditation to connect with your inner self and listen to your intuition. What are your passions, talents, and the things that bring you joy and fulfillment? Those are always important cues for us to consider. As the late American writer Joseph Campbell said, “Follow Your Bliss!”

If you’d like, we can also chat with your spirit guides to provide further insight into your life’s purpose. Here’s a link to my calendar to schedule an appointment.

Trust that you’re exactly where you need to be on your path, and with patience and self-discovery, you’ll uncover your unique mission. Everyone has one!

Heavenly Humor

Polly from Elgin, OR, asked:

Hi Julie,

I recently went to a river canyon campground to spread my sister Sandy’s ashes. The campground was about two-thirds full. While we were building a fire at dusk, a wild turkey began pacing in front of our site. It was so unusual because we have two good-sized dogs who wanted to chase it. The turkey did not go to any other site. At one point, it even tried to sneak up on my husband. Finally, it flew to a tree branch above us and remained there when we retired for the night. The next morning, I discovered the tree the turkey roosted in was the only dead tree around, and the turkey was gone.

My sister Sandy had a nickname growing up; we called her “Bird Legs” because she was so tall and gangly. Do you think my sister’s spirit was showing up for us with that turkey?

Thanks for your insights.

Polly

Hi Polly,

Of course, your sister Sandy sent that turkey and was laughing as she watched you all react to it! The spirits of our loved ones in Heaven have terrific senses of humor, and it shows when they send signs to let us know they’re around us.

These signs usually include something that resonates with a shared experience or memory, whether it’s an animal, flower, song, picture, coin, manipulating a light, computer, cell phone, or other electronic device. The fact that you called Sandy “Bird Legs” is a perfect example.

When you think, “Sandy must have sent that turkey”, trust that thought. It’s the first thing that will come into your head. Too often, we doubt the thought and discount the message our loved one’s spirit is sending.

Your turkey campground story will make a great addition to your family’s personal archives.
