My husband has Kennedy’s Disease, a rare genetic condition similar to muscular dystrophy. I can’t help but wonder, can something written in our genes truly be healed? Or is this part of his soul’s chosen path for growth and expansion in this lifetime? And if so, could healing itself be part of that journey?

Yes, a genetic disease can absolutely be healed though healing doesn’t always look the way we expect. When something’s inherited, like Kennedy’s disease, it carries both physical and soul-level elements. Physically, the body expresses a genetic weakness. Spiritually, it’s often part of a soul’s chosen path, an experience designed for growth, compassion, and expansion, both for the person and their loved ones.
Healing can happen on the energetic and spiritual planes, even if the DNA itself doesn’t change. I’ve seen symptoms ease, or peace and strength replace suffering, and each is a form of healing. Sometimes souls choose these challenges as a pathway to deeper love and awareness.
So yes, healing can be part of this experience too.
