Missing Diamond Bracelet

Alexandria from Lakeland, FL, asked:

Hi Julie!

I love listening to your show and just heard an episode where you helped a woman find her missing diamond ring. This gave me some hope that maybe you can help me find a missing diamond bracelet.

My husband gave me the bracelet for Christmas in 2015. I always wanted a diamond bracelet and my husband finally made the effort to put some money together and make it happen. Somehow it went missing last year around October or November.

All I can remember is that I left it on my bathroom counter before taking a shower one day and consciously thought I needed to put it up in my jewelry box but can’t remember if I ever did. By the time I realized I had not used it in a while, I went looking everywhere and could not find it.

Now I’m wondering if I lost it somewhere or if it was stolen out of my home. Is there any way you can help shed some light or maybe just help me find some closure? I would really appreciate it.

I have tried to get over it but there is this longing that maybe one day it will be found. It really broke my husband’s heart when I had to tell him the bad news and it breaks my heart every time I remember the situation. Thanks!

Hi Alexandria,

Sorry you lost your bracelet.

In order to get some information for you, I first connected with you and asked to be shown any information that might help you recover your bracelet.

What I saw was the bracelet accidentally falling into the waste paper basket and being mistakenly thrown into the trash. At this time I don’t believe you’ll find it.

Can you make a claim on your homeowner’s insurance? Most policies either have a jewelry rider on them or at least a provision with an amount of at least a couple thousand dollars that can be paid.

In the meantime, consider looking for a previously-owned diamond bracelet. Ebay and other online estate jewelry sites as well as pawn shops are great places to find amazing bargains on jewelry. If you do decide to get a previously-owned bracelet, email me and let me know. I’ll be delighted to clear the former owner’s energy from the bracelet for you.

Thanks for your question.
