How to Beat Brain Fog

Genaah from Orillia, Ontario, Canada, asked:

Hello Julie,

Thank you so much for the opportunity to submit a question.

I have been experiencing brain fog for several years and I’m scared that it’s going to have a significant impact on my career. I can’t remember anything, even the basics.

People believe that I am amazing at what I do and I feel like an imposter. I’m currently looking for a new job because there have been multiple layoffs at the company I work for but I’m concerned that I won’t know enough to perform well at a new company. Are you able to tell me what is causing the brain fog and how to help it?

The best way I can describe the sensation I have is that it feels like my brain is thick, dense and foggy.

Side note, I’ve been on maternity leave two of the last four years so perhaps my forgetfulness is in part due to being out of practice and the haze of early motherhood.

Thank you so much!

Genaah

Hi Geenah,

First, huge congrats on the newest addition to your family! Welcoming a little one into the world is a journey unlike any other, filled with both challenges and joys.

Let’s talk about something that many new moms and others, including myself, have experienced: brain fog. It’s like trying to navigate through a dense fog where focus, memory, and energy seem to dissipate. Researchers at Emory University have delved into this phenomenon, describing it as feeling like our brains are working on a reduced capacity.

From personal experience, I’ve found that tackling brain fog starts with nurturing your gut and balancing hormones.

To get answers for you, I tapped into your energy field and noticed a few things. Picture this: a wilted plant in need of water. To me, that’s a telltale sign of hormonal imbalance, something quite common among new moms. By adding some energetic estrogen, it was incredible to witness how you perked right up.

I also sensed something else – mold. Whether it’s lurking in your home or office, it can wreak havoc on your well-being. Thankfully, with a bit of energetic clearing, we addressed that issue too.

And then there’s the matter of leaky gut – another piece of the puzzle. Again, through an energetic healing, we worked to get your gut healthy.

Now, here’s the important part: these healings may take time to fully integrate into your body. That’s where your physical efforts come into play. Seek out a physician who specializes in bioidentical hormones to ensure your levels are optimal. Someone like Maria Amasanti, MD, whom my clients rave about for her expertise in gut health, can also be incredibly helpful.

Lastly, don’t ignore the mold situation. It might be worth looking into getting your home tested.

And, please give your sweet baby a hug from me!

Health: Genetics or Choice?

Shari from Bonifay, FL, asked:

Hi Julie,

I come from a lineage of Italians with serious health issues. My mother’s father and brother both had brain aneurysms and my mom died from an aortic arch aneurysm in 2022.

I’ve had three failed urethral surgeries and two frozen shoulders which give me a lot of pain and mobility issues and feel like a hot mess myself.

Having said all that, at 56, I worry that my family history will be an issue for me too.

Love to hear your thoughts.

Thanks!

Shari

Hi Shari,

Please know you have my heartfelt sympathy for the losses you’ve experienced in your family due to health issues. It’s undoubtedly a heavy burden to carry, especially when you’re confronted with your own health concerns.

But here’s the thing, genetics don’t have to be our destiny. Despite the scary stories we hear, most health conditions aren’t solely hereditary.

The Brain Aneurysm Foundation states, “In most cases, brain aneurysms are not hereditary, and there is generally only a single case in a family.”

And, although there might be a genetic predisposition for some conditions like aortic aneurysms, it doesn’t seal your fate. Research shows about 20 percent of people with aortic aneurysms have a genetic predisposition to it, meaning it runs in the family. First-degree relatives (i.e., parents, children, siblings) should be screened for this condition and yet, studies also show, people with coronary heart disease and peripheral vascular disease are the most likely to develop an aortic aneurysm.

Your personal health journey isn’t predetermined. By adopting healthy habits like a whole foods diet, regular exercise, and managing stress through practices like meditation and/or prayer, you can greatly influence your future well-being.

Speaking of stress, it’s a silent but potent enemy of our health. Constant worrying triggers inflammation, the root cause of many illnesses. Reducing and eliminating inflammation always promotes overall wellness in everyone.

Simplify your life and prioritize joy with my Two-Minute Rule® technique. It encourages small, manageable actions that add up to significant positive changes and will help you cultivate a life filled with purpose and vitality. Spirit Communication Explained

Sue from Prince George, British Columbia, Canada, asked:

Hi Julie,

How do spirits hear our thoughts?

I often wonder what the mechanism is that allows spirits to hear our silent thoughts and prayers.

Thanks in advance if you choose to answer my query!

Sue

Hi Sue,

In my experience, spirits “hear” our thoughts telepathically through energy frequencies.

Thoughts have frequencies, much like radio stations and our minds can act like satellite dishes tuning into these frequencies.

To communicate with a spirit, simply think of them, and your mind tunes to their frequency, enabling telepathic communication.

You can say something silently or aloud, and you’ll instantly hear their response as a thought in your head.

The more you practice, the better you’ll get at validating the answers you receive and communicating with spirits, whether they have a physical body or not.

Hope that helps.

The Art of Intuition

Cristina from Gilly, Switzerland, asked:

Hi Julie,

First of all, I would like to send you millions of thanks for what you do, providing closure and so much love. You are an amazing being and the light within you shows through all your pores.

My question is about purpose. I was born in Romania in a time when abortion wasn’t legal, and my mom made it very clear all my life that i was an inconvenience. Until my teens, I wondered if I was adopted because I never felt loved, and maybe because of that, I always felt I didn’t belong to this world.

Throughout my life, I have had numerous “strange” events happen to me, mostly in dreams where I talked with people who died that evening or finding out about children yet to be born.

My life has been extremely difficult but made me realize my intuitive strength and that I need to pave the way for other women who are in the place I was for a very long time. Could you please tell me if this is my calling? I keep asking for signs and feel like I’m out of touch with guidance from spirit.

Thank you from the bottom of my soul. I hope you feel the gratitude I am sending you now.

Wishing you an amazing year ahead!

Cris

Hi Cris,

Thank you for your thoughtful comments. It’s wonderful to hear such encouraging words and to know that my experiences can potentially help others on their journeys. You’re absolutely right about the importance of paying attention to the guidance we receive from within, often referred to as intuition or divine inspiration.

Life presents us with countless ideas and opportunities, and when those thoughts resonate with us, it’s a sign that we are aligned with our true selves and our higher purpose. It’s as if the universe is whispering to us, urging us to explore new avenues and make positive changes in our lives.

I’ve come to realize a profound concept about the vibrational frequency of our thoughts. Just like tuning in to a specific radio station, we need to attune ourselves to the frequency of the ideas and guidance we receive. When we are in sync with these higher vibrations, we are more likely to manifest our desires and turn our ideas into reality.

The notion that if we receive an idea, it’s achievable, is a powerful one. It reminds us that our dreams and aspirations are not arbitrary; they come to us because we have the potential to bring them to fruition. It’s our self-doubt and fear that often hold us back from pursuing these ideas.

My book, The Two-Minute Rule®: The Key to an Amazing Life, is a valuable resource for anyone seeking to overcome their irrational fears and embrace a life filled with meaning, joy, fulfillment, and purpose. It’s essential to recognize and address these fears so they don’t paralyze us and prevent us from taking action.

Regarding the reason behind the tough times we go through can be inspiring. Perhaps those challenges were meant to provide us with the wisdom, empathy, and experience necessary to support and guide others facing similar situations.

Thank you for submitting such an uplifting question and in doing so, inspiring us to take that first step towards the next phase of our life’s journey. May this information serve as a beacon of hope and encouragement for anyone seeking positive change and personal growth.

Unraveling the Mysteries of Past Lives

Matt from Randolph, WI, asked:

Hi Julie,

I am always fascinated by the many things I hear from you.

Could you explain something about current and past lives?

I get the idea that we reincarnate and can go back and look at many lives lived.

Is it one spirit in all? Is one a spirit, the others the soul? Something else?

I’d appreciate it if you would talk about this on your show so I can re-listen to it.

Thank you for sharing your wisdom.

Matt

Hi Matt,

I appreciate your curiosity about past lives. I too find this topic fascinating.

In my experience, each spirit or soul, which I use interchangeably, undergoes countless lifetimes in different incarnations.

During a past life scan, valuable information often comes forth, and interestingly, it can sometimes be verified through historical records. What I’ve observed is, each spirit maintains a consistent frequency throughout its various lifetimes. To tap into a past life, it’s similar to tuning into a specific frequency, much like adjusting your car radio to a particular station. It’s always the same spirit in each lifetime.

When seeking information about a previous life, setting the intention and focusing on a specific question, such as whether you were a teacher in a past life, can yield details about the time, place, and circumstances of that existence, often providing clarity about our current life.

In addition, there’s an intriguing aspect of past lives where some believe our spirit lives multiple lifetimes concurrently. While it’s challenging for me to fully grasp this concept, I acknowledge the possibility. I prefer not to dwell too deeply on this aspect and trust that we will gain a clearer understanding when we return to the spiritual realm.

I hope this explanation provides some clarity on the concept of past lives for you.

Dancing With Angels

Alban from Essen, Germany, asked:

Hi Julie,

I often talked with my late father about spirit when he was alive but he didn’t believe anything I said.

He was an engineer and kept saying, spirit doesn’t exist.

I’m wondering what he thinks now.

Thanks, and all the best for you in 2024!

Alban

Hi Alban,

To get some information for you, I energetically connected to you and from you to your dad. His spirit came right in.

To connect with any spirit, just think of them. That tunes your satellite dish head to their frequency and opens a communication channel. (All spirits keep the same personal frequency throughout all of their lifetimes.)

I then told your father you were interested in knowing what he thinks about spirit now that he’s in Heaven.

He chuckled and said, “It’s been an enlightening journey, an indescribable journey, and an experience unlike anything he had ever imagined.”

Your dad said his fear of an afterlife, in case it was something bad, was what kept him from wanting to discuss it. He also said he hid (his word) behind his linear-thinking mind. It was a good excuse to change the subject.

Your father said he wants you to know it’s beyond glorious in Heaven, he’s around you a lot, and he likes your new red car. Do you have a new red car?

For more information about how to communicate with your dad, please check out my book Angelic Attendants: What Really Happens as We Transition From This Life Into the Next and my online Angels and Enlightenment Training. They’ll help you get really good at communicating with your dad and anyone else you wish to contact.

Cause of Fatigue and Depression

Anne from Westerville, OH, asked:

Hi Julie,

I discovered you a few years ago, and have listened to all 430 episodes, sometimes more than once! I love your interviews with your amazing guests and have learned so much.

Here is my question: I live a pretty clean lifestyle, spend time each day working out with weights, cardio, walking in nature or yoga. I eat well, pray, and spend time with family and friends.

Some days I feel full of energy and have motivation to get things done. BUT, there are more days that I feel low and unmotivated and feel like I’m on the struggle bus.

I know you say our vibrations are low when we are on the “I feel crappy channel” so I’m wondering if there is something else going on.

Although I never give in to my yukky feelings, I get up and move hoping to turn my day around, but the entire day feels like I am carrying around the weight of the world.

Would you be able to scan me and provide some insight on any changes I can make. I am 62 with 4 amazing kids, 2 sweet granddaughters, and a loving husband. I am so lucky and have no reason for these feelings of dread!

I appreciate you and someday I hope to share how I discovered you after my mom passed! It’s a great story! No coincidences, I was meant to find you!

Thank you,

A Loyal Follower, Anne

Hi Anne,

Thanks for your kind comments and for listening to my show. I’m honored.

As you probably know, I grew up in Worthington, right next to Westerville, both suburbs of Columbus, Ohio. What you may not know, however, is, I worked as a cashier at Roush Sporting Goods in Westerville for six years (2 in high school and 4 in college). That job was one of three I worked to pay for my degree from Ohio State. Small World!

As for your fatigue and feelings of dread and to get some answers for you, I energetically connected to you and “saw” (in my mind’s eye), you looked like a wilted plant. That’s how a woman appears when she’s in need of hormones. I believe your fatigue and depression are being caused by a lack of hormones.

As we age, our hormone levels decrease and Mother Nature doesn’t think she needs us anymore because we’re no longer having babies and populating the planet.

Well, it’s possible to fool Mother Nature and make her think we’re much younger than our biological age with bioidentical hormones.

My dear friend and women’s health expert Christiane Northrup, MD, says, “Bioidentical hormones duplicate the structure of our hormones exactly as they are found in our bodies”.

To help you feel better, I added some bioidentical estrogen energy to your body and you perked right up.

To find a practitioner near you, please call a couple compounding pharmacies in your area and ask them which physicians are prescribing hormone replacement through them.

My personal preference is to use a gynecologist if possible. After all, they’re female anatomy specialists.

The best news, is, with bioidentical hormones, you’ll quickly be feeling like yourself again.

Hugs and Happy Holidays!

P.S. – I’d love to hear how we got introduced when your mom passed.

Back Pain Healing Secrets

Johnny from Gadsden, AL, asked:

Hi Julie,

I am 56-year-old male with chronic back pain (Spina bifida and Sciatica) who wishes to work and take care of my family.

Can you help me?

Thanks,

Johnny

Hi Johnny,

Sorry to hear you’re in pain.

The answer is yes, I can help you heal yourself. That’s what all physicians, medical providers, energy healers like me, etc. do. We guide and assist you in your journey to heal your own body.

To do that, I energetically connected with you so I could “see” (in my mind’s eye) what was causing your pain.

Johns Hopkins Medical Center says, “Spina bifida is a group of congenital conditions involving the failure of normal development of the spinal cord and vertebrae. The open neural tube defects are typically diagnosed prenatally. Those not diagnosed through prenatal sonogram and maternal blood work are diagnosed by physical exam at birth. Spina bifida will often result in varying degrees of weakness to the legs”.

It appears you may have had surgery as a newborn because I’m seeing scar tissue in your back. Scar tissue looks like strands of a spider web and can restrict movement by tethering parts of the body together. It was removed.

Next, I “watched” (again in my mind’s eye) the clearing of your sciatica nerves going down the back of both legs.

Imagine your nerves look like tubes and imagine a corkscrew spinning and tunneling through that tubing to clear it of dead cells and other debris.

After the clearing, both sciaticas were irrigated and filled with stem cell energy to regenerate the nerves. Stem cell energy looks like a light, amber-colored gel, has sparkles in it, and reminds me of Dippity-Do hair gel. Stem cell energy is amazing and will heal and/or regenerate any body part we need.

Envisioning what I described will help the healing integrate into your body. After all, the body always believes what the brain tells it.

Hope you feel better!

End-of-Life Review

Kerry-Anne from Hazelwood, MO, asked:

Hello Julie,

My dad hasn’t had the greatest year, health-wise. He’s struggling with colitis and recently diagnosed dementia (small vessel disease). He has a strong will to live and says he’s going to beat his illness and will be healthy again.

This afternoon, he came by my house to tell me about a vivid dream he had last night.  He rarely dreams, but said he was able to see and remember every detail of his life including every person’s name, every situation, things he long forgot, he was able to recall with incredible detail.

I asked him how he felt after his dream and he said incredible! He said he’s never had a dream like that and that it was neat to go back and revisit everything.

After about an hour, he left and I immediately felt emotional – happy and proud of the life he just described, but immensely sad to feel life without him.

Would you happen to have any insight into what stage my father is in, and if the dream he described was maybe a life review?

Thanks so much, many blessings to you,

Kerry-Anne

Hi Kerry- Anne,

Sure sounds like your dad witnessed what many Near-Death Experience (NDE) survivors call a life review.

And, it makes sense to me that your dad would have the opportunity to watch his life review as part of his end-of-life process.

To get more information for you, I energetically connected to you and from you to your dad.

He is currently in Phase 7 of the Twelve Phases of Transition® which means he’s surrounded by angels and the spirits of deceased loved ones and pets.

A free, downloadable, chart illustrating the Twelve Phases of Transition® can be found on my askjulieryan.com website.

People can move through the Phases quickly or take days, weeks, months, even years to pass. In addition, people can vacillate between Phases and even come completely out of them.

In his book Death is but a Dream, Christopher Kerr, MD, PhD, discusses how his university-based research shows 90% of people experience dreams and visits from deceased loved ones and pets at the end of their lives.

When our dying loved ones experience what could be called “spiritual” events, we often think they’re hallucinating. Be assured, they aren’t. Hallucinations are upsetting and these dreams and visits are comforting.

As you go through this process with your dad, do your best to focus on how heart-warming it must be for him to have begun these seemingly miraculous encounters as he prepares to transition.

For more information, please consider reading a copy of my Angelic Attendants: What Really Happens As We Transition From This Life Into The Next and then give it to your dad to read.

Hope you find my book comforting and enjoyable too!
